Archives and Research Rooms
Cranbrook Museum houses a unique archive covering all aspects of Cranbrook's history.
Whether you are researching family history, a business, or a building we will probably be able to help. The volunteers in the archive rooms are constantly adding to the collections, improving accessibilty and replying to an ever increasing number of enquiries from around the world. The museum however incurs an inevitable expense in providing this service together with its ongoing conservation work and project to digitise and photograph as much of the collection as possible Listed are charges for research and copying |

Research enquiries or assistance First 15 minutes free, thereafter £5 per half hour PHOTOCOPIES A4 Black and white 25p A3 Black and white 50p A4 Colour £1.50 A3 Colour £3.00 Scanned A4 attached to emails 25p Photographic scans as JPEG images to email £1.00 Use of own camera or Tablet £10 Postage (UK and abroad) Current Royal Mail rate plus 50p packing Other options are available on request, for example images on CD. |
Our policy is that information is for all to enjoy and appreciate. The majority of researchers are seeking material for personal use only but the Museum shall retain its copyright in all cases. Professional researchers or those seeking to gain financially from archive material must discuss the matter with the Archivist or Curator before commencing.
